Hunter Valley

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all having a great Easter long weekend. I'm definitely grateful for the extra few days off work to spend time with family, friends, church and also myself doing things I enjoy and love doing.

One of the things I enjoy is going on road trips around Sydney and visiting the beautiful scenic places Australia has to offer. Nothing makes me so happy than spending time with awesome company, great food and visiting beautiful places. Hunter Valley is definitely one of my favourite road trips get aways from Sydney! I had a great day spending time with family, whilst eating awesome food and visiting Australia's number 1 vineyards and the world's top 3 vineyards. Here are some of the photos I took yesterday with my Google Nexus 4.

:)

Lunch at Hunter Valley Steak House.
What I learnt from this experience was to book before going to Hunter Valley, especially during the public holidays like this. We went to so many restaurants, only to find that they are fully booked for the day. At last, after many tries, we found a place that served decent food with available seats. Yay! I was so hungry by then.

Mum and I had the Bungalow pork ribs which was slow cooked pork ribs with spices. We also had Kipfler Potatoes, Rosemary, Chorizo & Snap Peas with Chilli Tomato Chutney as a side dish.

Dad had the 1824 Beef Fillet Mignot. He also had Steakhouse Fries & Garden Salad with Cafe De Paris Butter as the side dish.

We also had the Garlic & Herb Damper for entree.

Overall, it was a good experience. The pork ribs was delicious and tasted interesting, definitely not your ordinary "Hurricanes" ribs so it was good to try something different. However, the service was really slow. The view was really beautiful, it was set in a beautiful garden overlooking pretty flowers, prosperous leaves and fountains.

...And the exploration begins
After lunch, we visited various vineyards and gardens. Here are some snaps. My favourite vineyard was the Audrey Wilkenson Vineyard.

Morning tea

Nothing beats going for a cafe run on a Saturday morning.

So there we were eating marvelous raspberry and chocolate muffin and mixed berry muffins accompanied my cappuccino, soy latte and hot chocolate.

Definitely one of the best muffins I had for a long time. No joke. You could really taste the organic flavours of the berries and even the chocolate sweetness wasn't too empowering. Love it. We bought another muffin once cause we weren't satisfied with two. :p

Make a wish

This year will be a year of learning and development for me.

I want to be a better person. Professionally, grow to be a better marketer. Socially, to be a better friend, a better daughter, a better sister. And ultimately spiritually, to grow to be a better servant of Christ Jesus.

My birthday this year.

Start your day with a healthy breakfast

I gotta say. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day.

The difference between having breakfast and not having breakfast impacts my mood, energy, level of hungry, and level of concentration throughout the day.

I also love, love, love breakfast meals.

As the saying goes, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day."

Sliced sugar bananas and almond spread on sourdough bread.

Dance the night away

Sometimes, I just want to dance like no one is watching.

Dance like no one is watching.

Autumn in Sydney

Hello everyone.

It's the beautiful month of March. The beginning of the Autumn season. The transition between summer to winter. Not too hot, not too cold.

I have been noticing the beautiful leaves, flowers, and just nature in general.

And God's creation never fails to make me smile and break into songs. It makes my heart want to sing, sing, sing. Thank you God for your wonderful creation. <3

"I see trees of green,
red roses too I see em bloom,
for me and for you
And I think to myself
what a wonderful world."

I also got a new phone this March. The Google Nexus 4.

And knowing me, a lover of taking photos, this blog aims to share with the world glimpses of my happenings in pictures through my Nexus 4.

Enjoy.

:)

Lime green leaves against the light blue backdrop is a beaut.

Rise and shine! Just like these blooming daisy flowers.

Beautiful pink flowers together in unity.

Love the radiant colours of these red maple leaves.
